New at Sable Rose Jewelry, another something sparkly for the ladies. I was in the mood to create something a little more feminine that actually qualifies as sort of dressy, so here's Zydeco!

If you were around in the 80s and 90s, then you will remember twisted strands of pearls, stones or beads held together with a front-clasp brooch. I've recreated that style here with two different varieties of monochromatic color ranges. The sets can be dressed up or down depending on what you choose to wear them with -- cute kicking around in jeans or beautiful with your nicest dancing dress.

The "Black" Zydeco set includes a triple-strand twist necklace with beads in black, grey and lighter grey, meeting in the front with a large marquise-cut faceted black brooch and silver accents. Comes with two necklaces, chest AND spine attach. The set is completed with right and left matching bracelets and matching earrings in sort of a twisted, dangling cascade.

The "Light" Zydeco set includes the same pieces as the "Black" set but this time in varying shades of creamy, pearly off-white, with the clasp on the necklace a large, marquise-cut faceted white brooch with silver accents. Bracelets and earrings also included in the matching colors, and the light set also has the chest and spine attach options on the necklace.

On a recent trip to Las Vegas, I was inspired by the amount of over the top, almost cheeky, sassy costumey bling that could be seen both in the decor of the different casinos, and on the women who were out to have fun.

I returned home with rhinestones on the brain, and when I sat down to try to put the images together into something fun, out came Vegas.

Vegas features a sparkly (no bling) rhinestone necktie necklace, feminine, sexy and sassy, with rhinestone right-arm bracelets and a pair of rhinestone earrings. There's very little understated about Vegas, but is there ever?

Naiad is named for the ancient Greek freshwater nymphs from mythology, is a set made up of large and small freshwater (non-symmetrical) pearls loosely strung into necklace, bracelets and earrings.

The necklace drapes over the shoulders delicately and features hand-textured sculpted pearls of various earthy tones.

The bracelet is a multi-strand, bold piece and the earrings are made of smaller pearls with the same hand-drawn textures.

One of the things I like about the Sable Rose store in Gallinas is it's only steps away from the Isabel Infohub and The Shelter, two very newbie-friendly areas. When I set up the space, I decided I was going to not only have my regular selection of freebies at the store, but also some special gifts for avatars under 60 days old.

We were all new once, and I feel good knowing that by setting something like this up I am -- in a roundabout, but simple way -- giving back a little by helping folks the way I had folks to help me.

Thanks to a script by the very talented Nekololi Woodget, the under-60-day-old gifts are now packed upand ready to go. They're on one side of the display stand in the center of the store at Sable Rose.

The ladies' gift has previous limited-editoin freebies like the hearts necklace from Valentine's Day that is no longer available, full-prim necklaces like the Regal emerald necklace, and other surprises.

The men's gift has a variety of the Sable Rose men's wrist wraps in different textures, a pair of hammered silver wrist cuffs, and the popular Corkscrew Choker that hangs on the wall a couple of meters away still for sale in the shop.

I tried to put a nice variety of things, 6-8 things in total, in each gift. If you know of newbies who are in need of a little accessory help, or if you (or your alt) are one yourself, send them by the Sable Rose shop in Gallinas to pick up their gift.

Back before the Twisted Hunt, I was asked to create some handcuff-themed jewelry. It ended up being fairly popular, or at least generating some interest, which led folks to ask me to make different pieces.

After the Twisted hunt, I figured I wouldn't be making any more handcuff jewelry, but I seem to be on this kick lately of building things into sets, or at least making lots of matching components available.

So, after reworking my vendor prims and adverts into a more cohesive style, AND after adding a few more pieces to round out the collection, I'm happy to show the new and improved handcuff-themed jewelry available at Sable Rose.

The Kept Choker Set is a 2-set of handcuff chokers, one with a lock that reads "kept" and one with the key. These chokers, unlike other Sable Rose pieces, are NO COPY - Mod - YES TRANSFER so you can purchase the set, keep one for yourself, and give one to your significant other. They're unisex so they should be giftable upon avies of any and all genders, shapes and sizes. This was the Twisted Hunt gift which I have subsequently released with these transfer permissions after I got a lot of requests for it.

Iwaa. A Sioux word that means, "Tomorrow." Tomorrow, the promise of new things, the chance to reach dreams, the blessings that will come to us if we are only open to receive them.

Back in April, I blogged about the Isadora set which at that time, included a necklace and a set of bangles for the right arm, with a separate bracelet that was in the store's Subscrib-O-Matic.

Then, I went to work on kind of an earring kick, and Isadora was no exception. I added some largeish Gypsy-type bangles that have beads that match the necklace and bracelets, threaded onto them. They have a real organic kind of boho look to them just like the necklace and bracelets.

Then, I waited for Isadora because I truly wanted her to be the model of the set, and then figured since it's been a month since its release I would take the separate wood-and-shell bracelet out of the Subscrib-O-Matic and include it with the set to make it complete.

So! If you missed the bracelet, you MISSED IT!

May's freebie is a Spring-themed ladies' necklace featuring rosy pink sculpted calla lilies framing a delicately-rainbow-colored larger calla in the center. Sculpted calla lily leaves surround the flowers, and the chain is formed with multi-toned green metal beads.

I'm proud to announce kind of a triple-whammy today as far as new things.

First things first, the pretty pretties. Or at least, I think they are, and I hope you'll think so too.

Jelivianne, named for and inspired by my friend Jelivianne Grenville, is a hematite set consisting of a draping necklace on a chain of tiny hematite beads, a set of hematite (right arm) bangles, and a pair of bold, chunky stud earrings. L$250 for the set.

Balance is a pearlescent Yin-Yang symbol embedded into a dark silver star, suspended on a dark/black-silver chain. There is also a small yin-yang tag that drapes down the back of the neck, in a matching color to the pendant front. Balance comes with drop earrings featuring the same design as the pendant.

Balance is available in: Black (regular), orange, red, pink, violet, blue, green, and rainbow, and is L$200 in each color for the set.
